Review: Dior Artistry Palette - Nude Design (pic heavy)
Posted by admin on June 29, 2009
Ok, so you may remember that I said I was booked in at Debenhams for the Dior artistry lesson. Well…(warning: incoming rant)…I finished my other errands early so I went to the counter to see if they had an earlier slot only to be told that the woman I was meant to see was on a training course! The girl at the counter was less than apologetic…’Oh, I guess we should have phoned you seeing as she’s not in…’ You think!?! I kind of expected a bit more professionalism, really. I was quite annoyed, as you can imagine, so I bought the nude design on the spot and didn’t bother to rebook.

It comes in a black velour pouch with the CD logo. The compact is sleek, blue and edged in silver with the Dior logo on the lid. CD appears on the lid depending on the angle.

I wanted the quint for a wedding I was going to at the weekend and I’m not that great a blending 5 colours without it looking like a muddy mess. However, it comes with step by step instructions which makes it practically foolproof.

Inside, you will find 5 georgeous colours, a sizable mirror, 2 double ended applicators and a plastic insert that numbers each colour so that you know exactly where to place each shade.

The colours are very sheer on their own but are build-able. The base is a barely there pinkish white duochrome, the two shadow colours are a peachy-pink and medium brown, the highlight is similar to the base has more sparkle and the cream liner is a reddish-brown.

At £37.00, this is probably the most expensive palette I own. It was just so beautiful though. A girl has to splurge every now and then, right? (go on, nod your head)
Do you love this palette too?
